On the 65th anniversary of the founding of our university, Mr.Xing Maoxin, a 1989 mathematics graduate and general manager of Beijing Xingguang Star Electrical and Mechanical Equipment Co., Ltd., donated a rhythm training room to his alma mater.On August 30th, the donation and opening ceremony of the Xingguang Star Rhythm Training Room was held in Room 407 of the Special Education Building. President Zhang Fengwu, Vice President Tian Jun, Sun Qingping, Labor Union chairman Li Shuhui, the General Office, the Admissions and Employment Office, the Student Affairs Office, the CCYL Committee, leaders from Special Education College and some hearing-impaired students attended the ceremony.

At the ceremony, President Zhang Fengwu expressed his gratitude to Mr.Xing Maoxin for his concerns and support to his alma mater. At the same time, he hoped that the students would be able to acquire more considerate and humanized rehabilitation assistance in the training room; teachers would take the training room as a new research field and platform, and integrate it into the teaching and scientific research; the school should also use the training room as a platform to further expand its functions and realize its value in order to serve the hearing-impaired students in our university, as well as to serve the disabled in our province.

Mr. Xing Maoxin expressed his gratitude for his alma mater in his speech. He said that students were the future of the nation and demanded the attention and assistance from the society, especially the hearing-impaired students. As an alumni of our university and an enterprise administrator, it was incumbent on us to participate in the donating and aiding activities. He hopes that through his own actions, more alumni will give back to their alma maters and let the relay of love pass on. At the same time, he also hopes his junior schoolmates will cherish the time, study hard and strive to become stronger to repay their parents, alma mater and society.

President Zhang Fengwu awarded Mr. Xing Maoxin a special contribution award trophy and honorary certificate, and unveiled the “Xingguang Star Rhythm Training Room”with Mr. Xing Maoxin.

Hopefully the atmosphere of mutual help can continue to foster an environment of making donations in society, and to further promote the spirit of selfless dedication and mutual assistance!
